Antique Kacip

Kacip is a splitting tool made of steel, is used for peeling and blending areca nut. This device consists of two parts: the top as the blade and the bottom as a base to put the areca nut which will be split or blended. Thus, each part has its own function. Therefore, kacip can be said as a symbol of agreement. Kacip is well known and used in most of Malay culture.

For some communities in Indonesia, kacip also believed to be a fortunate thing that has a certain advantage to the owner. But for me, this is one of high art which is inherited from ancestors.

Those who are interested, kacip form of a horse with silver-coated above may negotiable. Please leave a message in the comment column.
